Famous Author Alan Gibbons inspires students

Year 8 students received a visit from the children’s author Alan Gibbons. Alan, who has been writing children’s books for over 20 years, delivered sessions on Creative Writing and Gothic Writing to those passionate about literature. Following this, pupils had the chance to get copies of Alan’s books signed and ask questions about his career as an author.

Year 12 student Ben was invited to meet the Prince of Wales at BAE in Samlesbury as part of HRH’s recent tour of the Ribble Valley. Ben was introduced to Prince Charles by Lord Shuttleworth (the Queen's personal representative for Lancashire) before accompanying both men on a tour of BAE.

Carr Hill students lead lessons at local primary school for multi-faith week

A group of Year 7 students recently visited Wesham Primary School to support the school’s multi-faith week. Carr Hill students used materials such as PlayDoh, acrostic poems and lively discussions to help Year 4 and Year 6 pupils understand why people disagree about God.
