Local Apprenticeship Scheme

Local company Plumbs are recruiting for Apprenticeships for the 2021/22 academic year. They work in partnership with North Lancs Training Group to provide the programme and it is a great opportunity to earn, as you learn a traditional trade. Plumbs will be taking part in National Apprenticeship Week so keep your eye on for posts which give an insight into these opportunities. There is also an #askanapprentice day, which will give pupils the opportunity to ask questions directly to one of their current apprentices. Kirkham Grammar School Sixth Form - Website

The format of the traditional open day is certainly useful, but it is a prepared, showcase event and we think that if you are investing heart, soul and mind – as well as financially – in an independent school then you need to see it operating. A private tour with the head, where you are going into lessons and interacting with pupils and teachers, and seeing the school up and running is probably therefore an ideal open day experience.
