Two of our students from Year 8 and Year 9 completed their 3rd Dan Black Belt grading in Taekwondo recently and both were successful in achieving this. Declan and Madison worked extremely hard towards this grading and the school community are all very proud of them, as are their family and friends. This makes them, and Declan particularly as he is only in Year 8, one of the youngest 3rd Dans in the country.

PE Faculty Leader Mr Haydock says "What a fantastic achievement!" and Head of Year 9, Miss Clancy, exclaimed "Absolutely fantastic!". Miss Clancy made sure she passed her congratulations onto Madison and Declan. The photo here shows them with their certificates straight after their success, those smiles say it all.

We have also heard that another student in Year 8, Alyssa, also achieved her 2nd Dan Black Belt at the same grading. Her mum Alison explains "It's a fantastic achievement that requires commitment, dedication, discipline and a lot of hard work." Fantastic result and well done Alyssa!

Well done to all 3 of you, what an amazing achievement.
