Students from across the year groups took part in a dodgeball tournament as part of the annual Year Group Sports Week.

For many students it was the first time that they had played the sport and the week presented them with an opportunity to try something new. Dodgeball was selected as it is an inclusive team sport which requires communication and self-belief- a team can be down to its last player and yet still come back and win.

PE Teacher Mr Doughty said: “Thank you to all the students who took part in this year’s tournament we saw some great levels of participation particularly in the younger year groups. I hope the week has inspired some of our students to consider playing dodgeball as a regular sport.”
