Two members of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra visited Carr Hill to give members of the school’s orchestra their very own masterclass.

The musicians, who are part of  the national British broadcasting symphony orchestra who play at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, helped Carr Hill students to practice for the piece they will play at the Modulo event in Manchester this week.  Students were also given the opportunity to work with the musician on the pieces they plan to perform at the summer concert.

Music teacher Mr Brown said: “Working with members of the Philharmonic Orchestra was an invaluable experience for our students and an opportunity to really develop their skills ahead of our performance at the Modulo event. Thank you to the musicians who took the time to mentor those in our school orchestra I know our students really enjoyed it and took a lot from the workshop.”
