As part of Carr Hill’s ‘We are Reading Challenge’ we have created a number of 'student author’ posts. The work of our student authors will regularly be shared on the website, in editions of our school magazine and other communication channels. In the next of our student author contributions Year 10 Benjamin shares the next part of his story- The Assassin's Last Victims (Part Two). Thank you, Benjamin.

Few hours passed by, the Eaves-way Caribbean coach stopped harshly, and the driver commanded in a strong fluent Mexican accent, “Please make sure you take all your belongings with you the coach service is now terminated.” He slowly got up from his white leather seat and strolled along to the end of the corridor and said to the bus driver, “Thank-you sir for your service.” Then, he strolled of the coach to the front of a magnificent hotel. The hotel was the Atlantis Paradise Island hotel it had 2,317 rooms with an exclusive six-star rating. It costed him $12 ,000 dollars for the two months.

In the lobby, he had asked for Miss Tamara King, who was a famous Iranian model, and was he sat on a leather sofa, vaguely wondering why so few people were going in and out. The reception area was quiet and claustrophobic, with a brown marble floor, three elevators to one side, and above the desk, a row of clocks showing the time in every major world city.

Tamara King arrived a few hours later and her dark black hair was long and wavy in a small bun. She wore lots make-up and was often stern, rarely joining in the jokes of the other officers. To be taken seriously she didn't have to be their equal, she had to be better and beyond reproach. More than once she considered becoming a blonde woman, but in only a week the honeyed roots would be showing, and she had no intention of looking old. Tamara King was wearing a pair of long black skinny jeans and with a small open black blouse with her diamond and gold pendant, with a pair of black high-topped converse. To finish her outfit with a dazzlingly shiny golden blazer not buttoned up. She gallivanted over to him with a friendly-loving sort of look, when you first meet your date at the restaurant.

Tamara greeted, “Oh what a surprise to see you here! I thought you weren’t coming to my wedding! What about the ‘important detective case in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at the Burj Khalifa, with Bill Gates and Elon Musk!” He didn’t reply and looked very embarrassed at her, he wanted to tell her the real reason why he was here, but he couldn’t government security classifications policy act. His mission was to find the person behind the global assassinations including Donald Trump, Barack Obama and Kim Kardashian, he believes the person is here to assassinate Tonique Williams-Darling, who is a British Olympic athlete, returning to her home country.

Tamara slowly started drifting away towards the glass and quartz elevator. Whilst, he tiredly started to trek back over to the receptionist’s desk and he inquired, “Do you have any spare rooms for the next week or two?”  The receptionist desk was a small, curved dark mahogany wooden desk with a Dell Inspiron 13 carry-on laptop. The receptionist was wearing a black blazer jacket with a plain white shirt, and a small black skirt and matching high heels. She also wore light eye shadow and eyeliner, with minimal red lipstick and blush.
