Students and staff at Carr Hill have created a tribute ahead of Remembrance Day on 11th November.

The display features hundreds of poppies which have been coloured in by students and staff over the last few weeks. The display has been organised by staff in the History department and has been created to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

History Teacher Mr Yates said: “I would like to thank everyone at Carr Hill who contributed to this display with a poppy showing their respect for those who fought and lost their lives for our country.”

In addition to the display, staff have held remembrance themed assemblies throughout the week and photos have been posted around the school sharing key events throughout WW1.
