Year 10 student Elisha will be shaving her head to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support on Friday 13th July. In addition to raising funds for the charity, which runs the challenge as a national campaign, Elisha will be donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust. This is a charity which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illness.

Elisha said: “I wanted to do something big to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support and I thought that shaving my head would get people’s attention and encourage them to donate. I hope to raise £300 for the charity."

Headteacher Mr Waller said: “I think it is fantastic that Elisha is taking part in this fundraising challenge and I hope the school community will get behind her and support her efforts.”

Elisha will shave her head on Friday 13th July at the Cadet Hut at Weeton Barracks. To donate to Elisha’s fundraising effort visit https://bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/elisha-collier/donate/
