The award was presented to Ben by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge also present at the ceremony.
Ben, who was invited to the palace at the end of May, said: “The award ceremony was a once in a lifetime experience and something I will never forget. It was an honour to meet Prince Philip and be recognised for this achievement.”
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award. There are three levels which, when successfully completed, lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
