Team member Lily- Mae was given the ‘Best Athlete’ accolade after scoring 310 points across the competition, whilst her peer Lucy won the Gold Medal in the Distance Award, completing the 800m in 2.37 minutes .

Year 9 were not the only team to excel at the event with Carr Hill’s Year 8 team coming in sixth place out of 11 schools. The team put in some impressive performances with Liene achieving 221 points, Frankie achieving 218 points, Jennifer achieving 213 points and Olivia achieving 212 points competing in their respective sports.

PE teacher Mr Doughty said: “The teams put in a great effort and that is reflected in the scores they achieved. All the girls did a fantastic job of representing the school and demonstrated real talent across the various athletics sports.”
