Students took part in field events including the high jump, the triple jump, the shotput and the javelin and track events from 100 metres to 1500 metres. Carr Hill was one of 11 schools to compete and students represented the school to a high standard.

PE Teacher Mr Doughty said: “Our students put in some brilliant individual performances and did a sterling job of representing Carr Hill. All pupils who attended should be proud of their efforts- well done!”

Standout performances

Junior Boys:

Nathan in CE4 - jumped 1.44m in High Jump (18 points)

Athletics

Regan in MI6 - putted 8.05m in the shotput (12 points)

Billy in AP7 - threw 20.11m in the javelin (13 points)

Nathaniel in ME5 - jumped 9.20m in the triple jump ((15 points) and ran 47.2 in 300m (14 points)

 

Junior Girls:

Lois IN PO1 - ran the 1500m in 5.55m (16 points)

Frankie  - ran the 1500m in 6.05m (15 points)

Evie Fagan - putted 6.70m in the shot (14 points)

Natasha Leigh - putted 6.07m in the shot (12 points)

Abbie Holgate - threw the discuss 14.23m (12 points)

Liene Sungurova - jumped 1.23m in the high jump (15 points) and ran the 200m in 31.2s (14 points)

Olivia Townsend - jumped 1.18 in the high jump (13 points) and ran the 300m in 54.0 seconds (12 points)
