Students are preparing for their LAMDA exams where they will be performing two acting scenes in front of an examiner. Following this they will be asked questions about their performance. The external qualification is provided by the LAMDA Drama School and offers students an external qualifications for them to further their acting.

Once students’ progress with their exams and reach higher grades, the exams counts for UCAS points that can help to gain university places.

Drama Teacher Miss Sheffield said: “LAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most well respected awarding bodies so we are delighted that our students have the opportunity to gain a qualification with them. The students have been working on monologues for the exams and have put in a lot of extra hours in at school and at home. I wish them lots of luck for the exams in a few weeks’ time.”
