The Year 10 Rugby team fought off fierce competition in the group stages, semis, quarters and then finals of the Emerging Schools Rugby Union Tournament to bring home the coveted Plate.
The team battled against Ormskirk in a competitive match which saw our team comfortably securing the win 24:17. Captain Tom said, “As a team we’ve been working towards this since Year 7. Previously we’ve been knocked out in the earlier stages but due to a lot of hard work and determination we have finally succeeded and are really happy with the result”.
Rugby coach Mr Penney said, “This result just goes to show what can be achieved with resilience and dedication. I’m extremely proud of the boys and not only did they play exceptionally well, they were all great ambassadors for Carr Hill.”
