Students across the school took part in a panda themed competition to raise awareness of World Panda Day.

Geography staff encouraged pupils to enter a competition with panda themed artwork, baking, poetry and more. The competition ran as Key Stage 3 students are currently studying China as a topic in their lessons.

Students were asked to donate 50p to enter the competition with all money raised going towards funding for the school to adopt a panda.

Geography teacher Miss Butterworth organied the competition. She said: "The contributions were amazing and we were really impressed that so many students got involved."
