This year’s Dance festival was another huge success with hundreds of people coming to watch and over 30 performances from students across all year groups.

Over 100 students performed choreographed routines over two evenings to popular songs including I’m Only Human, All of Me and The Greatest.  Many of the routines were choreographed by Dance teacher Miss O’Connor and former student Maiya Leeke whilst others were created by individuals or groups of pupils.

The event included performances from Year 10 GCSE dancers, Year 7 and 8 classwork, the Upper School Dance Club, Year 12 BTEC Performing Arts Dancers, the Elite Dance Academy and, of course, the Sporting Elite Dance Academy. Carr Hill students were also joined by Freckleton C of E Primary School and Treales Primary School pupils who performed a routine choreographed by Maiya Leeke.

Dance teacher Miss O’Connor said: “Every year I have the opportunity to work with dedicated, passionate and talented students. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to see how far they have come again this year. What an incredible show- thank you to everyone involved!”
