This year, Carr Hill will be supporting Brian House Hospice which is a specialist unit within Trinity Hospice specialising in palliative care for children.
Throughout this week a representative from Brian House Hospice has been into assemblies to explain to students what Brian House works so hard to achieve and how the school can help. Carr Hill has a fundraising target of £1,500 for the year and each mentor group has been challenged to raise £21- as that is the number of years since the hospice opened.
The first fundraising event is a non-uniform day on Friday 18th November when students will be asked to make a £1 donation to the charity which supports over 80 families.
Apollo College Leader Mrs O’Donnell said: “We feel privileged to be working with Brian House Hospice this year and hope to raise lots of money through a variety of fundraising activities. I encourage all our students to get behind this appeal as any help we give will go towards making a difference to the lives of families who need support the most."
