Carr Hill Sixth Form Centre is offering a weekly chill out sessions for students during the busy and, often stressful, exam period.

The sessions are aimed at students who may be having problems sleeping, struggling with stress and anxiety, feeling worried or short tempered.  These are common struggles and emotions for students during the exam period but these problems can be eased with the help of tips about how to manage the workload and look after yourself. In addition to advice and support, the sessions also incorporate a mini relaxation activity which students can use when at home.

Government and Politics teacher Ms Filler is running the sessions along with other staff members. She said: “Our students know to come to their teachers for academic support and are aware of the text books and online resources they need to successfully complete their exams. However, many may not know how to deal with the inevitable stress and worry that comes with preparing for and taking exams. The weekly sessions are designed to give our students the tools to help them manage better. I would encourage any students feeling challenged to come along to one of the sessions to find out more."

The sessions take place every Wednesday from 3.20-3.40pm in the conference suite.
