Carr Hill High School & Sixth Form Centre now offers parents, carers and visitors the opportunity to chat live with a member of school staff. The facility is designed to help users find answers to simple questions such as the location of a policy or the contact details for a particular member of staff.

Visitors to the website will be able to chat to a member of staff by clicking on the blue ‘Contact Us’ tab at in the bottom right hand corner of the webpage. The chat box will open and all users have to do is type their question and wait for the response. The chat facility will be live throughout the school day although there may be instances when it will not be available. Even when the chat facility is unavailable users will still be able to send a query or question via the chat box which will be picked up to as soon as possible.

The new website chat facility is part of a number of new communications services that have been launch by the school since the start of 2016. Earlier this year the school launched its online absence reporting service. Carr Hill also introduced a school app which is free to download from the App Store or Google Play. These new features, coupled with the online chat provision, are designed to enhance and improve communication channels between the school and parents, carers and students.
