Students from the Year 13 Fine Art class  and their teachers spent the evening at the Fylde Art Gallery in Lytham for the launch of the 'Drawn from Youth' exhibition.

The exhibition features the work of sixth form pupils from across the Fylde Coast. Maiya, who is a current Year 13 student, and Katrina, a former Carr Hill Sixth Form student, were both awarded bronze prizes and commended for the quality of their work.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, Headteachers, Heads of Sixth Forms, teaching staff and students. Art teacher Mrs Wild was one of the Carr Hill Sixth Form staff to attend the event with the students. She said: “It was a really lovely evening. Our exhibition and our students did us proud. We had loads of positive comments from those in attendance.”

For anyone who may be interested, the exhibition will be on display until Thursday 7th April. For more details please contact the Fylde Art Gallery.
