Our incredibly talented Year 7 boys represented Carr Hill and the Wyre & Fylde Sports Partnership in the Sportshall UK Lancashire County Finals coming 2nd out of 14 schools and, therefore, 2nd out of over 80 schools from across Lancashire.
Deontay, Oliver, Reece, Dominic, Fraser, Lewis, Callum, Rhys and Dan represented the school. As well as achieving as a collective there were also some fantastic individual performances. Details are as follows:
1st Obstacle Relay – 82.5s (Reece, Deontay , Rhys, Lewis )
1st Shot – 6.0m (Dominic)
1st Vertical Jump – 50cm (Deontay)
PE Teacher Mr Doughty said: “I was delighted when I heard we had come 2nd. The competition at County Finals was tough with some excellent athletes but the Carr Hill boys stepped up and performed magnificently. The students attitude, efforts, physical prowess, determination and resilience was first class. They have trained hard and deserve all their success. I'm a very proud PE teacher!”
