For a group of Carr Hill High School students half term meant a trip across the Atlantic and the opportunity to gain an insight into a different culture. The four day break gave pupils the chance to  visit some of the world’s most famous landmarks and memorials including; Top of the Rock, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Natural History Museum and the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

In addition to seeing the sights the students also managed to fit in some retail therapy- it would be rude not to with NYC being one of the most renowned shopping destinations in the world- before tucking into meals at the famous Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant and the Hard Rock Cafe.
