Alice performed four routines using the ball, clubs and rope during the competition which took place in July. She gained the prestigious place after attending the British Qualification Testing in the West Midlands in February.

The young gymnast, who has been training with Ribby Hall Rythmic Gymnatics Club since she was seven years old, said: “I was up against gymnasts who compete at an international level so it was a hard competition. I feel very happy to have been awarded the bronze medal.”

Alice’s College Leader Mr Johnstone said: “Alice’s dedication and commitment to her gymnastics has been rewarded with this fantastic achievement. Her accomplishments show exactly how much our students are capable of. On behalf of Mercury College, I would like to congratulate Alice and look forward to hearing more about her successes in the coming years.”
