Throughout the prestigious evening students from across the school were recognised for their achievements. Awards were given out to those who have excelled in a particular sport, volunteered their time to help others enjoy sport or undertaken training to deliver a new sport to the wider community.

The school has a thriving sporting community and this was reflected in the number of pupils who attended and in the number of students who walked away with an award acknowledging their achievement.

Awards were given out to students in each year group for a range of sports including; football, rugby, netball, gym and dance. The evening was also an opportunity for staff to name next year’s Sporting Captains for all six colleges and each individual sporting academy.

Director of Learning for the expression cluster, and PE teacher, Mr Haydock said: “The evening was once again a huge success. It is a pleasure to be able to mark the achievements of so many dedicated young sportsmen and women. I would like to thank all those who worked so hard to make the evening a success as well as those who attended to share the accomplishments of our students.”
