The venue was set with hundreds of pieces of artwork exhibited ready for members of the public to see as Carr Hill High School & Sixth Form Centre hosted its annual ‘Private View’ exhibition.  The occasion saw students, parents, carers, VIPs and members of the public wandering leisurely around the school enjoying artwork produced by A-Level students.

Fine Art and Photography students were able to exhibit work from their A-Level courses, and there was an opportunity for members of the public to purchase original pieces of work and prints whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of bubbly.

Assistant Director of Learning Jane Wild spoke to us about the exhibition:  “We are really proud of what students have achieved and this exhibition is a superb occasion to be able to showcase the talent within our Sixth Form.”

Photography student James, whose award-winning artwork was exhibited at the event, said: "The  course at Carr Hill is fantastic! The amazing teaching offered to me over the course has helped me develop and expand my abilities within my work. I am so honoured to have been recognised for something that I love doing, and I am truly grateful for all the support given to me over my time here”.

You will find photographs and video footage from the event below, thanks to our friends at North Star Digital.
