Poseidon student and Year 11 Jordan has been awarded a prize after impressing staff following a month long competition.

The competition was open to all Poseidon students sitting GCSE exams. Teachers were able to nominate students based on who impressed them the most with their efforts towards their GCSE preparation.

Jordan, who is in PO2 , was the most recognised students and won a £30 prize. Jordan said: “I have been working hard over the last few weeks and have been doing extra revision to prepare for the exams.”

College Leader Mr Davidson said: “The initiative was designed to motivate and reward our pupils. Jordan was nominated by staff because she showed drive and commitment to her GCSE work. I would also like to mention Beth in PO1, Emily in PO1 and Charlie in PO6 who were also credited by number of teachers for their hard work.

“I would like to thank all our students who have been busy preparing for their GCSEs and wish them good luck as they sit their exams over the coming weeks.”
