The date is firmly marked on the calendars of our Year 11 students and excitement is building around the school. The Year 11 Celebration Prom is an important part of the year and signals the end of our students first five years with the school.

The Celebration Prom is the perfect way to mark the end of the exam season and the beginning of the summer break; before pupils return as Sixth Form students. The school’s dedicated Prom Committee, which is made up of a group of Year 11 students, is working with staff to ensure that this will be a memorable evening.

The event will include a three course meal and a variety of entertainment, including a photo booth. No doubt students will arrive in style with last year’s vehicles including sports cars, a fire engine and even a tractor.

Assistant Headtacher Ms Hilton- Peet said: “We host the Celebration Prom to mark the achievements of Year 11.  Our students have worked hard throughout the academic year and this event is an opportunity to reward their efforts and celebrate their successes.

The Celebration Prom is looked forward to by students and staff alike and I’m sure this year’s evening will be another wonderful event for all those who attend.”

As the date approaches students have been asked to ensure section one of their ‘Passport to the Prom’ is signed by their teachers. Teachers will be able to sign the passports if students have been working well in lessons and producing homework and coursework to the required standard. Students can also qualify for a discounted ticket if they are eligible to have section two of the passport has been signed by staff. Completed passports should be handed in the College or Care Leader by Monday (8th June).

The Celebration Prom will take place on Thursday 25th June at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool.
