The school’s annual planner design competition has once again proved popular amongst students.

The competition has been running for four years and provides pupils with the opportunity to design the front cover of the school planner for the upcoming academic year. This year the winning designs, one for the school and one for the sixth form, will be printed onto the front of all the new planners for 2015/16.The winning artists will receive high street vouchers for themselves and merits for their college.

With all the entries handed in on Tuesday 5th May staff now have the tough job of selecting two winners from the piles of impressive entries submitted.

Last year’s main school planner design winner was Year 10 student Penny. Penny said: “I was really surprised when I found out I had won and was really proud when I saw my design on the front of this year’s planner.”

Headteacher Mr Waller said: “The school planner design competition offers our students the chance to use their creative ability to come up with a design that is representative of the school community. Every year staff are impressed with the level of thought that is put into the designs and this year is no different. Selecting the two winners will not be an easy task.”
