Year 7 and 8 students have enjoyed a festive carol service at St Michael’s church in Kirkham. The service takes place every year during the final week of term with students and staff taking part in the celebrations.

The Vicar, The Rev’d Richard Bunday, conducts the service which includes readings from a number of students, alongside carols led by the school choir and band. Students listen to an address from the Rev’d before being invited to join in with well-known Christmas carols and readings.

Deputy Headteacher Miss Jordinson takes part in the service every year. She said: “Our partnership with St Michael’s church is long-standing and it is a pleasure to be able to bring the students to the church each year.

“We have a lot of pupils who volunteer to perform a carol or reading in front of their peers. The students enjoy the opportunity to perform in a different environment and select a reading or piece of music that has a special meaning to them. I would like to thank all the students who took part in the service and the Rev’d Bunday for having us again this year.”
