Year 13 students celebrated seven years of education today with a glamorous graduation day.

Students were greeted with cheers when they returned to school to be congratulated on their success by their peers and staff with a red carpet and champagne reception.

The day gave students an opportunity to say their final goodbyes to their friends and celebrate their seven years at Carr Hill. Students were reminded of their time at the school by receiving comedy awards nominated by their fellow peers including ‘Most likely to be famous’ and ‘Most likely to get married first’.

Year 13 student, Lauren Gibbins thoroughly enjoyed the Graduation Day.

She said: “I’ve had a great seven years here and it’ll be strange when I don’t need to get up and come in for lessons anymore.

“It’s been a really nice event and a great way to finish our time here at Carr Hill. I can’t imagine there will ever be another time when our whole class will be together again so I’ll be sure to remember today for the rest of my life.”

Paul Wallace, Head of Sixth Form is extremely proud of the Year 13 students.

He said: “This year group have been brilliant and have all worked so hard. I hope that every student gets their desired grades in August to get them onto further education or apprenticeships.”
