Parents / Carers / New students,

Welcome to the Carr Hill Year 7 Transition page, as we begin the process of Year 6 moving from Primary School into Year 7 at Secondary School. We understand that you may be feeling anxious at this time, we hope this information will help to ease your concerns during this transition period.

You should have received a pack recently, including an Admissions Booklet. This needs to be completed and returned to school as soon as possible.

This page will help you with all aspects of the transition process. Hard copies of most of the information on this page was included in the pack, but for future reference, digital copies are provided here.

This includes -

Thank you to all who were able to join us for the Information Evening at school, that followed a very successful Transition Day for new students.

Welcome to our School - Video Tour

Welcome to our School's video tour. We hope you enjoy this opportunity to meet the staff within a range of Faculties as they give you some information about the different subject areas. We very much look forward to welcoming you into the Carr Hill community in September.

School Survival Guide from our previous Head Students

"If you're looking for tips on how to survive secondary school, you've come to the right place! And don't worry, we're the experts." Our previous Head Students, Fin, Paighton, Edward, Katie, Josh and Olivia, created a wonderful presentation which new Year 7 students may find very helpful. With useful tips and tricks, and what to expect from the school day, this Survival Guide is a great addition to our Transition page and I'm sure many new students will find the information contained very helpful.
