Students in Year 9 have created individual PVA collage pieces for a school Remembrance Day display.

Students layered collage papers, words and letters and mixed media materials to create the collages. Some students worked over an existing image with their choice of materials, others created their own compositions. The work is currently drying and will be ready to go on display next week.  The finished display will be put up in the Allen Wood Studio for students, staff and visitors to view.

Art Teacher Mrs Williams said: “As a school it is important that we continue to educate our students about Remembrance Day and why it is important to honour all those who made sacrifices for us. Thank you to all the Year 9 students who contributed so creatively to this project. The work is fantastic and I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together and the impact it will have as a combined display.”
