Carr Hill High School provided Year 11 students with a yoga and relaxation class ahead of the beginning of the exam season which starts in just a few weeks.

The class included a series of stretches and breathing techniques some of which students will be able to recreate at home during the weeks they will be sitting their exams. The session was kindly delivered free of charge by local yoga instructor Joanne Eastham.

Assistant Headteacher Ms Allan said: “We offered the yoga and relaxation session to provide our students with an opportunity to relieve some of the stress they may be feeling as we approach the beginning of the exams. We understand that this can be a challenging time for many young people and as a school community we are here to support our students. The students who attended the yoga session told me that really enjoyed it and found the techniques delivered useful. "
