Carr Hill students have written letters of thanks to the people who were instrumental in improving their learning environment following the recent completion of refurbishment works to one of the school’s two science blocks.

The project’s main contractor, architect, interior designer, school surveyor and others have received handwritten letters acknowledging the work that was undertaken. Student comments included:

“Thank you so much for converting our science labs. They are now much nicer to work in and we can now do lots more experiments which helps our learning.”

“Since the new rooms have been created the rooms have been easier to use and they look more appealing than they used to. They make the atmosphere and experience in lessons better.”

“Thank you for your very hard work revamping our science block. They look so much nicer and have more life and colour than they used to.”

School Business Manager Mrs Childs said: “The refurbished science block is making a real difference to student learning every day. The refurbishment was a big project and one that involved many people both in and outside of school. We felt that it was important to thank those who helped to make the project such a success. Our students did a great job of writing thank you messages which those involved in the project have been delighted to receive.”
