Carr Hill High School returned to 2019 Wyre and Fylde Sportshall Athletics competition with Year 7 and 8 boys and girls teams and enjoyed another year of success.

 

Year 7 girls placed second in their overall competition, whilst the boys came forth in their competition. Meanwhile, the Year 8 boys placed third and Year 8 girls placed fourth in their competitions.

The total team scores were as follows: Year 7 Girls 203pts, Year 7 Boys 227pts, Year 8 Girls 235pts, Year 8 Boys 231pts.  

 

In addition to the great team effort these were some of the best individual results: Year 7 Isabella-Standing Long Jump Champion, Year 7-Isabella 6-Lap Race Champion, Year 7 Joe-Standing Triple Jump Champion, Year 8 Bruno-Standing Triple Jump Runner Up and Year 8 Tommy-Standing long Hump Runner Up. Both the Year 8 Girls and Boys teams were also Obstacle Relay Runner Up.

 

PE Teacher Mr Doughty said: “Thank you to all the students who took part in this year’s Wyre and Fylde Sportshall Athletics competition. Everyone represented the school to a high standard and showed excellent sportsmanship. There were some great individual and group performances and I’m proud of all the students who took part.”
