Emily, who has been practicing Taekwondo since she was just five, trains five times a week and her efforts have recently been recognised as she received her 3rd Dan.

Having achieved her first Dan at five years old, Emily achieved her second Dan whilst she was in Year 7 and she spent the last three years working to get to the level she is at today. Whilst receiving her award the Master at Taekwondo said he would see Emily in Tokyo in 2020 Olympic Games.

Emily said: "I like the challenge of Taekwondo and am really pleased to have received my third Dan."

Mr Waller said: “On behalf of the school community I would like to congratulate Emily on a fantastic achievement that has come from years of hard work. What Emily has accomplished shows commitment, aspiration, resilience and respect all of the things we encourage our students to apply to their everyday lives. Well done to Emily for being such a great example to others. We look forward to hearing about your future successes”
