Year 7 student Holly has her sights set on a career playing for Manchester United Women Football Club following a promising number of years representing Blackburn Rovers.

Holly has been playing for Blackburn Rovers since she was eight years old and also represents Carr Hill High School’s Year 7 girls’ football team. Having played for her local grassroots team, Kirkham Junior FC for three years, Holly was signed by Blackburn Rovers FC and loves playing in Centre Defensive Midfield (CDM). Holly, who also regularly competes in cross country races to keep her fitness levels up, trains for two hours twice a week and plays a match each Sunday.

Holly said: “I’ve been playing football for as long as I can remember. My aim is to play football professionally and my dream club would be Manchester United.”

PE teacher and football coach Mr Doughty said: “Holly is an incredibly talented football player and a valued member of the Carr Hill girls’ team. I’m sure her dedication and ability will help her reach her goal to play in the professional women’s leagues in the future.”
