As part of Carr Hill’s ‘We are Reading Challenge’ we have created a number of 'student author’ posts. The work of our student authors will regularly be shared on the website, in editions of our school magazine and other communication channels. In the next of our student author contributions Year 8 Harry shares the next part of his story- The Lord: The Adventure Begins!  Volume II  Thank you, Harry.
The Time Machine was burning, burning into ventricles of atoms. Lord Antonio ran into the control room and rapidly tried everything to stop the Time Machine falling; the intensity was hitting him- forcing its way against every nerve in his body. Mr. Blood on the other was full of a variety of emotions: inquisitee-why did the time machine take him with him? Torment- he was falling in space. But most of all anger- why did his father, Glados, make Antonio a lord and not him!!??
The time machine eventually burnt up, leaving the two brothers falling through space. Out of nowhere a green portal appeared right in front of Mr. Blood. Mr. Blood was sucked into this and the portal simply disappeared. Lord Antonio however was too busy to notice the portal, he was falling through space. A heavy force started to push against Lord Antonio- it was earth’s atmosphere, after that, gravity came in; turning this fall into more of a skydive. Zooming through the clouds he encountered a plane, if the plane hit him he would be absolutely splattered because of the force pushing him down. By chance someone had just opened their window, he shot through and smashed through another window- taking a suitcase with him. By this point he was going so fast that his jacket burnt off him. Sploosh! He landed in a pond. A nearby fisherman saw him fall. Lord Antonio stumbled out with algae all on him. “Earth’s not that bad.” Said Lord Antonio. As soon as he finished his sentence he collapsed on the ground. The fisherman ran over and started CPR. After three cycles, Lord Antonio woke up, “How did that work? I’m Alien, you have to use NPR on an alien.”  "YOU'RE A WHAT!!??” wailed the fisherman. “Boo” Lord Antonio in a quiet tone. The fisherman ran away; screaming in fright.“Hey mister, you forgot your suitcase” Called a man. “Thank you, I’ll be on my way now” Thanked Lord Antonio. He stepped on foot and fell; his side was bleeding from the fall. “What’s your name?” He said to the man. “David” he replied. “David” Lord Antonio said: "I'm going to need a lot of help from you."
