Staff and students have been given a glimpse of what can be expected from next week’s Private View event as GCSE Art pupils have their work moderated.

Pupils’ work has been set out across art classrooms and the displays show the diversity and creativity of Carr Hill students. Once the work has been moderated by an external examiner, the Art department will begin to set up for the school’s annual Private View event. This year the exhibition, which has become a key event in the school calendar, will take place between 3pm and 6pm on Wednesday 20th June.

As with previous years, the work of students in Year 11, 12 and 13 will be showcased with pupils, staff, local dignitaries and members of the public invited to view the exhibition.

Head of the Art Facility, Mrs Wild, said: “We have a fantastic array of artwork to showcase at this year’s Private View. Our students continue to impress with their original and insightful artwork and I encourage people to attend the exhibition to fully appreciate the work that has been created.”
