Last term students ran the ‘Sport Relief Mile’ to raise much needed funds for the charity.
The mile long fun run went a long way in raising cash for various projects all over the UK and further afield. Students were encouraged to dress up and take selfies to raise awareness, but most importantly they were encouraged to ask friends and family to sponsor them with the added incentive of chocolate prizes for those students who raised the most.
Organiser and PE Teacher Mr Doughty said, “once again we were really impressed with the uptake and the students enjoyed the fact they were raising money for such a good cause as much as they enjoyed the run itself”.
A tremendous £2451.41 was raised! Well done to all involved.
