Each mentor group was challenged to raise £21, and fundraising activities included a non-uniform day, Christmas Cake sale, staff Christmas jumper day, student Christmas hat day, staff dance, sweet sale, cake sale, raffles, staff pie faced, tombola and selling ice creams and ice lollies at Sportsday.

Apollo College Leader Mrs Liz O’Donnell said, “The students have really embraced this challenge and I am incredibly proud of their ingenuity and drive to raise as much money as they could for this amazing cause. We hope the money will go a long way in providing care for those families who so desperately need it at Brian House”.

Community Fundraiser for Brian House, Emma Padgett said, “The amount of money Carr Hill have raised for us is amazing! An hour of care at Brian House costs £150 so this very generous donation means we will be able to provide over 11 hours care, which may not sound a lot, but will make a huge difference to the families we support. We’d like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and generosity”.
