There were lots of smiles in the canteen this morning as students form Year 9 collected their exam results.  The standard was incredibly high with many students achieving grades which will stand them in good stead as they start their GCSE courses in September.

Special mentions go to our highest achieving students: Danielle Wilson, Niamh Borowski, Chloe Holding, Nathan Swarbrick and Imogen Emmence, and also the students who have made the most progress: Zoe Rae, Katie Allum, Shannon Wilde, Harry Parker and Madison Riley.

Assistant Head, Ms Hilton-Peet said, “We are very proud of our Year 9 students. The exam week was designed to give them an insight into what their GSCE’s will be like, taking place under strict conditions with external invigilators overseeing them.  The students coped really well with this high pressure environment, conducting themselves impeccably, and showing great maturity. Their hard work has paid off with many of them achieving their expected, or higher, results. However, for those students who may be feeling a bit disappointed, I’d like to remind them that there is still plenty of time to improve before their GCSE’s.  With hard work and dedication anything is possible”.

Well done to you all!
