At the beginning of 2017 Carr Hill launched a Cricket Club for girls.

The club is open to all female students in years 7 to 10 and is run by a Lancashire Cricket Coach. The club is designed to help encourage more girls to get involved in the sport.

The club has been running since the 16th January but anyone who has not yet been is welcome to attend the next sessions on Monday 30th January and Monday 6th February. The sessions take place after school in the Dome until 4.15pm.

PE teacher Mrs Carroll has organised the sessions. She said: "The first two sessions have been well attended but I'm keen to get more of our female students involved in this course. It is a great opportunity to develop your cricket skills, or try the sport for the first time, with the help of an expert coach from Lancashire Cricket Club."

If you would like more information about the sessions please speak to Mrs Carroll.
