Year 11 student Eve, who has been cycling for six years, has her sights firmly set on the 2024 games and is already making a name for herself in the cycling world. This weekend Eve will be representing the North West at the Inter Regional Track Championships having already been selected to ride for Team Scotland in the Future Stars at Revolution.

Eve is hoping to add to an already impressive list of accomplishments including 1st place in the British National Scratch Championship and the Scottish Omnium Championships. Eve also finished 2nd in the Scottish Points Championship, 3rd in the Hillingdon National Road Series and Hetton National Road Series and 5th in the British National Points Championships.

The dedicated cyclist trains six times a week for up to 15 hours to ensure she is at the top of her game. Eve said: “I train in a velodrome, on road rides and on a turbo trainer. It take up a lot of my free time but it is worth it.”

Everyone at Carr Hill High School & Sixth Form Centre wishes Eve good luck for this weekend’s event.
