Carr Hill’s annual Gym & Dance Display is fast approaching. This year, the show is not focused on a specific theme but is a showcase of work produced in extra-curricular dance clubs alongside GCSE and A-level exam pieces.
There has been an outstanding effort put into this year’s display from staff and students alike with rehearsals beginning as early as September. This year, for the first time, there has also been an audition process in order to get a place in the display. Numerous students from all year groups will take part, including students from 6 local primary schools. There will also be a staff dance. It is sure to be an entertaining night! Dance teacher Miss O’Connor said: ‘I am very excited about this year’s display, a lot of effort has gone into the performance and I think it is going to be the best year yet!’
The Gym & Dance Display will take place at Carr Hill in the main hall on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th February from 7pm. Tickets are £3.50 each and will go on sale shortly and if the previous years are anything to go by, they will sell out fast. It cannot be guaranteed that there will be any remaining tickets on the night so be sure to purchase yours as soon as possible, it is not a night you want to miss!
