Every January students from Year 7 to Year 10 represent their college in a highly competitive dodgeball tournament.

Students are asked to volunteer to represent their college in the competition- whether they have experience of playing dodgeball or not. From Monday through to Friday pupils stayed after school to compete in the hall. The college teams play in year groups and face a knock-out style competition. The winning college for each year group receives 150 merits and the runner up college gains 75 merits.

The results for the 2016 tournament are:

Year 7:

Champions - Minerva

Runners Up - Mercury

Year 8:

Champions - Ceres

Runners Up - Apollo

Year 9:

Champions - Minerva

Runners Up - Juno

Year 10:

Champions - Poseidon

Runners Up - Ceres

PE teacher Mr Doughty is responsible for organising the competition. Mr Doughty said: “I’m delighted that 229 students took part in this year’s competition. This is a fantastic turn out and shows how keen our pupils are to represent their college. The standard of play was high and the students showed enthusiasm and good sportsmanship throughout. Thank you to all those who took part!”
