The pupils, who are all 17, have been staying with host families in Lytham and Blackpool whilst studying at Carr Hill Sixth Form Centre. Marco, Lucrezia and Miriam have been attending AS classes in subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English Literature and History.

The trio have credited the trip with helping them improve their English Language speaking, reading and writing skills and have liked getting to know the local students. However, they say the English weather is something they will not miss.

The group said attending the Sixth Form and staying with their respective host families was hard at first but they settled in quickly and have really enjoyed the experience.
