For example, in November the students looked at the vocabulary used when describing the fireworks displays they may have attended and in the run up to Christmas the pupils will make their own Christmas cards wishing their family a merry Christmas in French.  

The club is run by Mrs Machin. She said: “The French Club offers students the opportunity to enhance their language skills in a creative and fun group environment. It is a great way for pupils to further develop the skills they acquire in their lessons.” 

The French club is part of the school's Pupil Premium offer.

The Pupil Premium is the name of the fund given directly to schools to support students who are in receipt of Free School Meals , or who have been registered within the last 6 years. The children of Armed  Forces families and young people who are in care are also eligible for Pupil Premium funding.These funds are in addition to the main school budget and are allocated on the basis of the number of students who qualify for the Pupil Premium.
