The students have already conducted market research as to the sort of sandwiches staff would like, produced marketing posters and materials and decided on unit costs.  The six pupils will now have to source the items needed to make the sandwiches and hope to receive donations from a local supermarket.

The group will serve the sandwiches on Monday 29th June and will be taking orders from staff soon. The students will make, wrap and deliver orders to teachers during breaktime to ensure staff have their food in time for lunch.

Year 8 student, and member of ‘Underway’, Dawid said: “We decided to sell the sandwiches and raise money for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal because we wanted to help people who had lost their families.”

Fellow student, and ‘Underway’ staff member, Rhys said: “Everyone eats sandwiches and we thought that if we ran a delivery services lots of teachers would want to order.”

Year 8 Catherine, who is also a part of the fundraising team, said: “I’m looking forward to making the sandwiches and working in a team because it is what we are best at.”

More details about how staff can order a sandwich and help raise fund for the Nepal earthquake appeal will be released soon.
