Year 11 students made an entrance and an impact at this year’s Celebration Prom. Dressed in their smartest suits and grandest gowns students arrived at Bartle Hall in luxury cars, a fire engine and even a tractor.

The event began at 6.30pm and it wasn’t long before students started arriving. There was a queue of vehicles waiting to reach the drop off point whilst parents and teachers gathered to cheer as students made their grand entrances.

The pupils really had gone all out with many of the arrival vehicles leaving on lookers pleasantly surprised. Two students arrived on a trailer which was decorated in a white sheets with flowers all around, whilst another student had borrowed his older brother’s tractor to drive himself and a friend to Bartle Hall.

Many students chose to make their entrance in limos and classic cars, such as vintage Bentleys, and Ferraris. But it wasn’t just the vehicles that made an impression as the students had really gone all out in their outfit choices. Many of the girls wore floor length bejewelled gowns, whilst others opted for prom style dresses with full skirts. It was evident that a lot of time, thought and effort had gone into each of the looks and the girls looked lovely as a result.

Assistant Headteacher, Ms Hilton- Peet, said: “After a very long, stressful year where the students have worked incredibly hard, the Celebration Prom is something to look forward to at the end of it all.  This year’s year 11 have been an incredible year group. Always willing to “have a go” and participate in school events. As teachers who have been through all the ups and downs with the students over the years it is great be a part of their very special evening where they bring a close to their KS4 studies before embarking with Post 16.”
