Student Success - Football

We are so proud of our Year 9 student and very talented footballer, Holly, who has been selected as Vice Captain of the Lancashire Under 14s Girls County team. Last Saturday they played their first round match of the English Schools National Cup at Poolfoot Farm, Fleetwood, against Cleveland, and they won the match 9 - 0. What a result!

Due to injuries Holly played centre back, which was not her usual position, but she played with composure and discipline to ensure a fantastic team performance. Congratulations to Holly and the rest of the team on such an amazing score. They now progress to the second round, playing South Yorkshire in June. Holly's Mum has provided the photos below and is very proud, as are we. Go Holly!
